Kyou no Hi wa Sayounara (Farewell for Today) is the song played at the end of episode 23 and episode 24. This song is used usually for graduation from primary school. The Sakurasou animé version was sung by all members of Sakurasou and Rita.

The song is in the Bonus CD 7 - Soundtrack #2. A version of this song was on the soundtrack of Evangelion 2.0.

The original song is from 1966 by Ryoko Moriyama. It was later used by NHK in their “Minna no Uta” (NHK is using Fuurusato right now) in 1974. In 2007, this song was chosen to become a nursery rhyme. In 2011, Hideaki Anno and Shiro SAGISU used it in Evangelion 2.22: You Can (Not) Advance
